The Hallamgate Collection
FINISHES

The ageing and patina of old furniture cannot be perfectly reproduced, but our skilled finishers come very close. The various polishing processes are carried out by hand.

Our craftsmen use traditional methods to achieve different grades
of distressing. Pieces are also made in solid yew and walnut and sometimes from reclaimed timber.

The natural differences of grain, even in the same species of wood, are complemented by shading and hand-finishing of a high calibre, thus ensuring that each piece is unique.

Where the client has specific preferences regarding stain colour or the degree of distressing, can be met.
